Julie Ford Musselman, President of Hostess City Celebrations has been an event
planner since 1995. Some of the major events executed under her supervision and
direction were:
Georgia
Hostess City Celebrations has planned conferences for the Georgia Association of
Convention & Visitors Bureaus since 2007 and in 2008 was named the meeting planner
for the Governor's Tourism Conference hosted by the Georgia Association of Convention
& Visitors Bureaus, the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Tourism
Development Alliance of Georgia. Hostess City Celebrations is also the meeting planner
for the 61st Annual National Conference on the Advancement of Research, hosted by the
Georgia Institute of Technology - Savannah.
Savannah
City Market's Turn of the Century Celebration on New Year's Eve, 1999 for more than
10,000 people; The Hoppin' John Jubilee at City Market, an event designed to celebrate
the first day of 2000. And let's not forget the City Market Saint Patrick's Day Celebration
2000 - the one day in Savannah where everyone's Irish! Julie also served as the Event
Coordinator for Savannah's Holiday Tour of Homes in December 2004, raising a record $25,000
for the Downtown Neighborhood Association. In more recent years, Julie was the event planner
and staff liaison for the Tourism Leadership Council's Taste of Savannah and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Annual Light the Night event.
Hilton Head Island
WineFest, the largest public outdoor wine tasting on the east coast; the WineFest Auction,
raising more than $200,000 for the Self Family Arts Center; and the WineFest Judging, one of
the premier wine judging events in the country. These events attracted over 2,500 people.
Also, she brought back one of the most popular events ever to leave Hilton Head Island, the
Hilton Head Food Fest - Taste of the Lowcountry. This daylong event attracted more than 6,000
people.
